Favorites

The "Favorites" section provides quick access to your most important and frequently used documents and folders. Adding an item to favorites does not move it from its original location; it simply creates a convenient link in this dedicated section.

Adding to Favorites

There are several ways to add a document or folder to your favorites:

From the File Manager

  1. Select one or more items in any section (My Documents, Workspaces, Shared with Me).
  2. Right-click to open the context menu.
  3. Select the "Add to Favorites" option with the icon.

Items already added to favorites are marked with a special icon and will have a "Remove from Favorites" option in the context menu.

From an Open Document

When working in the document editor:

  1. Click the heart icon in the top toolbar.
  2. The icon will change to , confirming that the document has been added to favorites.

Clicking it again will remove the document from favorites.

Working with the Favorites Section

The "Favorites" section is available in the file manager's side navigation panel and contains all items added to favorites by the current user.

How Items are Displayed

  • The section displays both documents and folders from any source: your personal documents, workspaces, and documents shared with you.
  • Each item retains its original location. The file physically remains in the section where it was created or moved to.
  • Clicking an item opens it as usual, depending on its type (a document opens in the editor, a folder opens to display its contents).

Available Actions

All standard operations are available in the "Favorites" section, depending on your access permissions for the item:

  • Open a document for viewing or editing.
  • Download files.
  • Rename, move, or delete (if you have editing permissions).
  • Remove an item from favorites.

Navigating to the Original Location

For documents and folders in the "Favorites" section, the "Open Containing Folder" action is available, allowing you to quickly navigate to the item's location in the file structure.

Removing from Favorites

You can remove an item from favorites in several ways:

From the "Favorites" Section

  1. Select one or more items.
  2. Open the context menu.
  3. Choose "Remove from Favorites".

From Other Sections

In the "My Documents," "Workspaces," or "Shared with Me" sections, items that have been added to favorites also have the "Remove from Favorites" option in their context menu.

From an Open Document

When working in the editor, click the filled heart icon in the top toolbar.

Removing an item from favorites does not delete the file or folder itself. The item will only stop appearing in the "Favorites" section and will remain in its original location.

Limitations

Please keep the following in mind when working with favorites:

  • You cannot add items from the Trash to favorites. A document or folder must be restored before you can add it to favorites.
  • You cannot add archived items to favorites. An item must be in an active workspace to be added to favorites.
  • Favorites are personal. Each user has their own list of favorites. When collaborating, adding a document to your favorites does not affect the favorites lists of other users.
  • Access to shared documents. If you add a shared document to your favorites and the owner later revokes your access, the item will automatically disappear from your "Favorites" section.
Using Favorites

Favorites are especially useful for documents you need regularly but are located in different folders or sections. Instead of navigating through the folder structure repeatedly, you can simply open the "Favorites" section to find the item you need in one place.
