Collaboration
You can work on a single document together: for example, a homeroom teacher prepares certificates, and the head teacher checks the text. Changes are saved automatically and appear for everyone.
How to share a document
- Open "File" → "Share". You must be logged into your account to do this.
- Specify who to share with and choose their permissions: view only or edit.
If you work in a team, store documents in the "Working" section — this way they are available to all colleagues. You can move a document there via "File" → "Move document".
How it looks in the editor
- When a colleague selects a block, this block becomes temporarily unavailable to you — this prevents you from overwriting each other's text.
- The rest of the document can be changed simultaneously. Colleagues' changes are synced automatically.
- A user with view-only access can see the document but cannot change it. Hidden pages are not available to them.
Troubleshooting
- "The text on the page is currently being edited by another user" — wait until your colleague finishes and deselects the block.
- "You no longer have permission to view or edit this document" — the owner has revoked access. Ask them to grant access again.
- "Cannot save items to the root of the shared items section" — in the "Shared with me" section, select a specific folder.
