My Documents

The "My Documents" section is your primary personal workspace in Dimaker. It's a file manager where all created documents and folders are private by default and accessible only to their owner.

To help you work efficiently with a large number of documents, we provide flexible tools for staying organized.

Creating Folders and Documents

To structure your work, you can create nested folders to group documents by event, date, or any other criteria. The "Create" button in the top-right corner allows you to add a new folder to organize your space or create a new document.

Moving and Copying

As the number of your documents grows, you can easily reorganize them.

  • Move: This function is used to transfer documents and folders to another directory. It's the primary way to keep things tidy, for example, by moving files related to a completed event into a separate folder.
  • Cut / Copy / Paste: Standard commands (Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V) allow you to quickly move or duplicate items.

Renaming

You can give each document and folder a meaningful name. To rename an item, simply select it and press the F2 key, or choose the corresponding option from the context menu.

Sharing Access

Although "My Documents" is a personal space, you can share any item with others and collaborate on documents in real-time. Other users can be granted read-only or editing access to a folder or document. The document itself remains in the owner's "My Documents" section and is marked with a special icon , making it easy to distinguish shared items from completely private ones.

Adding to Favorites

For documents and folders that you need to access quickly and frequently, there is a Favorites section. Adding an item to Favorites doesn't move it; instead, it creates a convenient shortcut in a dedicated section that gathers all your important items.

Archiving

Completed or outdated documents and folders can be moved to the Archive. This allows you to declutter your main view and free up your workspace without permanently deleting them. Documents and folders in the archive can be copied and moved, but the documents themselves are read-only when opened. This ensures the integrity of archived documents.

Moving to Trash

Accidental deletion is not a problem. All deleted files first go to the Trash, where they are stored for 30 days. During this period, you can easily restore them to their original location or, if needed, delete them permanently.

Exporting Documents

You can export a document (download, print, send) in two ways.

  • Open the document and download it from the editor.
  • Select the document in the file manager and download it. You can also select multiple documents or even folders. In this case, they will be packaged into a single ZIP archive for a convenient download.
No Limits

The number of documents and folders you can create in your personal storage, as well as their storage duration, is unlimited.
